Allah Al-Samad
Allah is the Creator of everything. He is the most powerful and the most loving. Unlike us, Allah doesn’t need anyone or anything. He is self-sufficient.
We Depend on Allah
Even though Allah doesn’t need us, we need Him for everything. Allah provides us with all the things we need to live, such as food, water, and air. He also protects us from harm and guides us on the right path.
Allah Provides for All
Allah provides for all of His creations, including plants, animals, and even the stars in the sky. He sends rain for the plants to grow, gives animals food to eat, and keeps the stars shining.
Allah’s Name Al-Samad
The name Al-Samad is a special name for Allah. It means that He is the only one who is everlasting and self-sufficient. He doesn’t need anyone else for anything.
We Need Allah for Everything
We need Allah for everything in our lives. We need Him to protect us, guide us, and provide for us. Allah is always there for us, no matter what happens.
The name Al-Samad mentioned once in the Quran in Surah Al-Iklas
It is a good opportunity to teach your kids the meaning of Allah Al-Samad while they are reciting Surah Al-Iklas.
Be Grateful to Allah
Let us always be mindful and grateful to Allah for every blessing He bestows upon us — both the ones we notice and the countless ones we often overlook. From the air we breathe, the food we eat, the love of family and friends, to the strength He gives us during hardships, everything is a gift from His infinite mercy.
The more we thank Allah (Al-Samad), the more He promises to increase His favors upon us. So let’s make gratitude part of our daily routine, both in our hearts and through our actions, and watch how it transforms our lives for the better, InshaAllah.
